Hello and Welcome to Our World!
Hi, I’m Stacey Jayne – and this is where my horse Maiden and I invite you into our little corner of the equine world. At 5ft 9, I might not quite have the grace of a ballerina, but I sure know how to get the most out of a partnership with a horse (and maybe a little more coffee than I’d like to admit).
I’ve spent years learning the ropes of the equine industry, working with some absolutely amazing trainers across Staffordshire. People like Mary, Lee, and Ticky have helped shape me into the horsewoman I am today. But my real journey began when I discovered the magic of groundwork training and natural horsemanship – all thanks to Pat’s performance at the NEC. It was like a lightbulb went off, and I realized that communication with horses doesn’t need to be loud or forceful. It’s about refining body language and energy to truly connect.
That’s when I started working with the brilliant Niki, Liz, and Gordon – who all introduced me to new ways of thinking about horse-human relationships. Speaking of energy, I went on to study Reiki Healing with Pauhla too, which led to some truly extraordinary spiritual experiences (they’ve left me speechless more times than I care to admit!).
Now, let me introduce you to the real star of the show – Maiden. She’s my beautiful 17-year-old thoroughbred, standing at a majestic 16.2hh. With her shiny reddish bay coat, black mane, and tail, she’s truly the definition of “high maintenance” (and I mean that in the most loving way). She’s quick to learn, and I can tell she’s had her fair share of life lessons – many of which she shares with me every day. While she’s not a fan of solid fences, you better believe she loves the thrill of showjumps. And don’t get me started on dressage – let’s just say, she knows she’s got the moves. Her confidence? Let’s just say it’s… well, let’s call it special.
Life with Maiden has been quite the transition. We’ve gone from the competitive show ring to a much more relaxed, natural lifestyle – and I think we’ve both become better for it. She enjoys rolling in the field and will never turn down a treat (who can blame her, right?). But here’s the thing – we’re not stopping at just this. We’re on a mission to gain true liberty and communicate without ropes, using pat’s seven games of natural horsemanship for inspiration. It’s all about trust, safety, and fun – because, let’s be honest, what’s the point of competing if you’re not enjoying the ride?
So, here’s to the next chapter of our journey. Who knows? Maybe we’ll cross paths soon and share some laughs, a few rolls in the grass, and of course – a few polo treats along the way. Welcome to the team!
